Keeping Your Office Clean From COVID-19

The global spread of the COVID-19 is keeping people out of the office but it doesn’t mean we should forget to clean it whenever everyone is allowed to come back from work. But being the cleaner — and especially a new or inexpert one — comes with risks that this pandemic could magnify. The powerful hospital-grade disinfectant spray can cause skin and eye irritations. Here is the safest way to clean the office.

Start Clean

It’s hard to function in an office area space when your physical space is a mess. Make sure wash any lingering food; empty the kitchen office sink, dishwasher, and dish rack; clear the counters, then wipe them down with kitchen cleaner; scrub the stove if splattered. To keep the germs at a minimum, use a disinfectant wipe to quickly sanitize those areas. Once or twice a day should do the trick to remove germs, but you may want to wipe down surfaces frequently. After you wipe the area, let it air dry to give it time to kill any bacteria that could linger.

Tell Everyone To Wash Your Hands All The Time

Being an obsessive hand-washer is okay even in the workplace. Wash with soap and water throughout the day, and before and after you leave the office, whenever your hands are oily or have anything on them. You should wash your hands.

Use A Bleach Mixture To Clean Floors

Your shoes step on a lot nasty things during the day you could be tracking in viruses and other germs. To clean your floors in the office 1 cup of bleach mixed with 5 gallons of water to mop your floors. Be sure not to stain your floors! Use a disinfecting wet mop cloth on your hardwood floors or combine half a cup of white vinegar and 1 gallon of water.

Clean Up With Hydrogen Peroxide

When you pour the substance directly on surfaces like your sink, countertops you’ll need to let it soak for around 10-15 minutes. This will give it time to absorb everything. After you let it sit, scrub the area and then rinse with water.
